Yum!

Many of our former presidents have their favorite foods on record.

• When Thomas Jefferson tasted macaroni for the first time on a trip to France, he loved it so much, he imported a pasta machine from France so the White House staff could make his own. He’s credited for making this dish popular in the U.S.

New England fish chowder was a favorite of John F. Kennedy.

Abraham Lincoln loved apples and ate several each day.

Texas-style barbeque was at the top of Lynden B. Johnson’s list.

Franklin D. Roosevelt was crazy about grilled cheese sandwiches.

Pot roast with red cabbage was Gerald Ford’s favorite.

Richard Nixon loved cottage cheese so much, he ate it daily. He loved to top it with ketchup and black pepper.

Ronald Reagan loved jelly beans.

George H.W Bush’s favorite snack was pork rinds with a splash of
Tabasco sauce.

Was your favorite food anywhere on this list?
If not, it’s OK, because we’re going to enjoy something much more
delicious than whatever tops our list of dinner entrees.

As Christians, we will be honored to be treated to the best of the best of food at the Wedding Feast of the Lamb!

“And the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the true words of God.’ ” Revelation 19:9 ESV)

Of course, what we’ll enjoy more than any food, will be the honor and
comfort of finally being face-to-face with our eternal Savior!

Thank You, Jesus, for allowing us to be Your holy bride.
Thank You for what You’ve prepared for us.
We look expectantly for YOU!

You are loved,
Susie
