Is It Just Me . . . or Is This Weird?

Last week we chatted about the time McDonald’s food scientists made bubblegum-flavored broccoli. Ewww.

But the taste group of kids shut it down before it hit stores.
Thank goodness!

Now I’m asking: Can’t we just leave our fruit alone?

Plant breeders in California have created a grape that tastes like
spun sugar and air.
That’s right.
Say hello to the Cotton Candy grape.

At about $6 per pound, this sounds like a lucrative gimmick that takes a perfectly pleasant fruit and jazzes it up into junk food. Sigh.

Can’t we just leave our food as is?
(Though I think brussels sprouts could use some help.)

One serving of food we’ll never have to worry about is what we’ll be eating at the Feast of the Lamb that we’ll enjoy with our Savior in heaven. It’s also known as the Bridal Feast.

It’s where Christians get to enjoy a meal that’s beyond our imagination.
And we’ll feast with the saints and heroes from the Bible as well as
Christ Himself. YAY!

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him.”
(1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV)

Yes.
That’s the feast.
That’s heaven.
Have you made your reservation?

You are loved!
