I’ve noticed many Christians in the church today enjoy
talking about God’s love and grace. But they
shy away from His justice and judgment.
But here’s the deal: God isn’t simply love . . . He’s also a God of holiness
and can’t tolerate sin. We don’t talk about that very much.
And by overlooking this, we don’t see the totality of God.
I recently put together a new Bible study on the end times
through the eyes of two minor Old Testament prophets:
Joel and Zephaniah. Though they’re minor prophets, they sure
hit homeruns in the big leagues when writing about the “Day
of the Lord” (the Great Tribulation).
They deal a lot with the judgment and wrath that God will
unleash on an unrepentant world that rejects Him. And while many
people think this is unfair, God is giving us more than enough time
to accept His forgiveness of our sins and have a relationship with Him.
A mature Christian desires to study all of God—not simply the
soft side of Him.
Here’s the truth:
God is velvet . . . and He is steal.
God is the Lamb . . . and He’s also the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
If you’d like to know more about this, I invite you to join me as I
teach this new study: “Two Minors Who Hit the Big Leagues.”
I’ll begin Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7 pm Central Time. You’ll need to
send me your name and email address, and I’ll send you an email
with the link to click on and watch/listen. This is NOT Zoom.
Each session is 25-30 minutes long. It will be available for 24 hours
after it’s posted. So if you can’t watch Tuesday evening, you’ll have
a little time to tune in before it’s removed. This will last for seven
Tuesdays. Between each session, I’ll email you two questions
to think and pray about. I’ll also have fun, creative worksheets you can
download to use during each session, because it will go fast and you’ll
need these to keep up!
For those who have trouble with downloading, send me your
complete mailing address when you send your email, and I’ll
mail the printed sheets to your home address.
I’m offering this as a FREE Bible study. I want as many as possible
to learn what Joel and Zephaniah have to say. I’m excited about
doing this. Pray about joining me, OK?
Love,
Susie
P.S. I need you to actually email me back if you want to sign up!
