Isolated
The American West is known for its wide-open spaces, but I don’t think anywhere is quite as wide open as the area around Glasgow, Montana.
Ninety-eight percent of Americans live within an hour of some kind of urban center (a metropolitan area with at least 75,000 people).
But Glasgow—located in the northeast corner of the state—is almost five hours from the nearest urban center. This makes it the most isolated town (with a population of 1,000 or more) in the Lower 48.
It would be hard for me to live that isolated. I need to be close to a Sonic for my Coca-Cola on crushed ice!
Once we establish a relationship with Jesus Christ and join His family, we are never truly isolated.
This is why it’s essential to belong to a church. We need a spiritual family
to connect with,
to love,
and to be loved.
God never intended for His children to be separate.
Fellowship brings us together.
Fellowship makes us stronger.
Fellowship provides encouragement.
Fellowship reminds us
we
are
not
alone!
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
(Proverbs 27:17 NIV)
Who can you reach out to and remind them they’re not along by inviting them into your church fellowship?
You are loved!
