No Expiration

I dread expiration dates.
Every August my car tag expires.
My passport expires every 10 years.
A driver’s license lasts only four years.
But there’s some good news found in your kitchen!

Here are six things you may have in your pantry that won’t expire:

There may be an expiration date on your bottle of honey, but the truth is honey never expires!

Vinegar never expires, either. The acidity makes this product self-preserving.

Another item that won’t expire is white rice. Just keep it stored away from moisture and pets.

Sugar has a particularly sweet characteristic: It doesn’t go bad! But it’s best to use at least two years after opening the bag.

Salt has been used for centuries to preserve meat because it’s so effective at inhibiting bacteria.

One more item in your kitchen that won’t expire is vanilla extract. In fact, over time, it can actually develop a deeper flavor.

But the most important thing that will never expire is God’s love for you!

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV)
