ISIS militants advanced across Syria and Northern Iraq and forced
Christians in these areas to make a choice: Convert to Islam, leave the area, or be killed.

More than 100,000 Christians were forced to flee in the stifling heat.
Most escaped with only the clothes on their backs, and many died
on the road or were taken by ISIS.
Even though they were separated from their loved ones, these bold
Christians refused to deny Christ! They sacrificed their possessions
and safety for the Savior who gave his life for us all.

Wow.

This wakes me up.

We need to ask, “How strong is my faith?
My loyalty?
My commitment?
My obedience?

I told the Lord years ago, I’m in this for the long haul.
I was honest in saying, “I don’t want to die for my faith.”

But I’ve also said, “I trust You.”

And if it comes to dying, I know He’ll give me the
strength
and
courage
I need at that time.

Will you commit with me to staying in the faith for the long haul?

We can trust God’s strength!
He will empower us to obey—
even in the midst
of persecution and death.
