The God Who Promises
How well do we keep our promises? Our word just isn’t as good as it used to be. Too many people have made promises they couldn’t keep or never intended to keep. And as a result, it can sometimes be hard to trust others.
But God always keeps His promises.
Here’s my favorite God-promise:
“And be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20 LB)
Here’s another one of my faves:
“He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
(Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV)
God has also promised that He will go before us. Here’s the proof:
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you.”
(Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV)
We can trust the God who keeps His promises!
What else does our heavenly Father promise?
He promises victory!

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57 NIV)
God gives us literally thousands of promises in His Word!
Here’s a challenge: As you’re reading the Bible, underline or highlight every
promise of God when you see one.
You’ll be amazed.
And they’ll be easy to find when you need to be reminded of His incredible promises.
