If you suffer from claustrophobia, you might want to avoid the world’s narrowest street. Spreuerhofstrasse—located in Reutlingen, Germany — measures 1 foot, 0.2 inches and holds the Guinness World Record for the most narrow street in the world.

The 65-foot-long street is also limited vertically; those over 5 feet, 10 inches have to duck at the exit, and many who pass through are pelted with drips from overhead gutters. Despite those inconveniences, tourists flock to the record-holding passageway.

I’m claustrophobic, so I’ll never walk down Spreuerhofstrasse Street. But even though it’s barely over a foot wide, I can think of another even narrower pathway.

“Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate! The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its easy way.” (Matthew 7:13 LV)

The wide road most of the world is traveling is easy to traverse.

“But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it.” (Matthew 7:14 LB)

But the narrow road is kind of like Spreuerhofstrasse Street.
Many tourists flock to it to take photos but few want to claim it.
It’s too difficult.
It requires too much effort.
