What’s Christianity really all about?
Luke 9 cuts to the core of this question.

Jesus has just miraculously fed the crowd of over 5,000 with only a few fish
and pieces of bread. Let’s look at what He said:

“Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his
life for My sake will save it.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is
himself destroyed or lost?

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man
will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s,
and of the holy angels.’ ” (Luke 9:23-26 NKJV)

It’s pretty simple.
Anyone who wants to come after Jesus into the kingdom of God—
Anyone who wants to be a Christian—
has to follow three commands:

1. Deny himself
2. Take up his cross daily
3. Follow Him

Are these words hard for you to believe?
That you really have to DENY yourself?
That you have to take up your cross daily (in other words DIE to all that’s
you?)
And that you actually have to follow in HIS footsteps?
Not simply being in the same area as He is—but actually FOLLOWING
Him—meaning literally walking in His steps!

This really shouldn’t surprise us.
These are principles that Jesus taught consistently and repeatedly
throughout His ministry, over and over again in all different settings.

Thank you for praying for my speaking schedule. I just received my first
cancelation for 2021. I know this doesn’t surprise God. But I want to
continue speaking His Word to groups of people around the nation, and it’s
disappointing. Please continue to pray.

If your church is interested in bringing me in for a weekend revival—or even
allowing me to send your church a USB drive with professionally filmed
messages—please contact me.

If the Lord leads you to donate to the ministry to which He has called me,
