Turkey Colors
Before you sit down to nibble on your turkey this Thanksgiving, consider a few fun facts about your upcoming meal.
You’ll never see a turkey wearing glasses because they have three times better vision than humans. They can also see in color, and their eyesight covers 270 degrees.
Did you know turkeys can change color?
Well . . . their heads can. The rest of their bodies stay the same. You can tell a turkey’s emotions by the color of their heads.
Colors can change from red to blue to white, depending on how excited or calm they are. The more intense the colors, the more intense their emotions.
But the most important Thanksgiving participant at your table will never change colors . . . and that’s Jesus Christ.
Yes, He wants to be at your table this week.
So make sure you invite Him!
Scripture tells us He never changes!
(And this is such a very good thing!)
It means He’s dependable,
trustworthy,
faithful!
“For I the Lord do not change. . . .” (Malachi 3:6 ESV)
And
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8 ESV)
He never changes—and that’s a hankie-waving fact!
“ . . . he shines forever without change or shadow.” (James 1:17 LB)
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
You are so loved!
