Richard and Jennifer needed a break. She works a stressful job
that includes a 50-minute drive twice a day to work and is an
associate pastor in charge of discipleship ministries at her church.
Richard is technically retired, but he’s just as busy as when he was a
teacher and coach.
He voluntarily maintains the lawn at their church, has begun
work on creating a soccer field behind the church, and volunteers in
the children’s ministry group inside the church.
Though they both love what they do, they realized they needed
to do something for themselves.

notch above. It was exactly what we needed.

Mother Could Love Show” on the last day at sea,” Jennifer says. “It’s
hilarious . . . and as you can imagine . . . full of ‘talent’ that truly only a
mother could love! Richard got talked into entering and even walked
away with the first-place prize of $100!”
“It was probably one of the most fun vacations we’ve ever had,”
he says. “And what made it unique was the spiritual growth aspect
added to the whole thing.”
