#Hashtag
(Reminder: I’m doing an A to Z devotional blog.)

I’ve never seen the word hashtag in the Bible, but it would sure be easy to create a few:

From Noah: #NotSureSavingTheSkunkWasWorthIt

From Eutychus: #NeverSleepInChurch

From Peter: #WalkedOnWaterOnce

From Samson: #BadHairDay

From John the Baptist: #FashionDisasters, #WildernessRecipes

From Joshua: #CrossingTheJordanWithoutSwimsuitsCanoesOrLifejackets

From Jesus: #RecipeForFeedingFiveThousandWithFiveFish

If today—this one day of your life—could be summed up in a hashtag, what would it look like?

#PrayedForHomeless
#MadAtRecklessDriver
#ChipsAndSalsaForLunch
#InvitedSomeoneToChurch
#ReflectedJesus
#LivingInHisJoy

Ho, Ho, Ho isn’t found in Scripture, but we are told that a joyful heart is good medicine (see Proverbs 17:22).

Honey is another H-word from the Bible. John the Baptist ate a lot of it. (I guess when locusts are your main course, it makes sense to saturate them with honey.)

Homerun, is never used in Scripture. But the apostle Paul sure hit a lot of them. You can, too, by living in radical obedience to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
