We hear a lot in the news that often makes us question integrity.
Do we see much of it anymore?
It’s easy to sing our favorite worship songs yet not really consume the
meaning behind them—much less actually live them out.
I want my lifestyle to shout integrity.
I want to hear my Father someday say,
“Well done, My good and faithful servant.”
May I challenge you to think about some of the old hymns this week?
So much of our theology is wrapped in these precious gems.
“It Is Well With my Soul.”
“Great Is Thy Faithfulness.”
“Holy, Holy, Holy.”
And here’s a really old one no one sings any more . . .
but wouldn’t it be great if we not only sang this one—
but lived it? It’s a song of integrity.
May we all absorb it.
“I Would Be True”
by Howard Arnold Walter, Joseph Yates Peek
I would be true, for there are those who trust me.
I would be pure, for there are those who care.
I would be strong, for there is much to suffer.
I would be brave, for there is much to dare.
I would be brave, for there is much to dare.
I would be prayerful through easy busy moment.
I would be constantly in touch with God.
I would be tuned to hear His slightest whisper.
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod.
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod.

Please continue to pray for my speaking schedule. It’s about half as full as
it normally would be without a pandemic.
