The Cross

Francois Rodin was a French sculptor who’s considered the founder of modern sculpture.

One day, he noticed a huge cross mounted on the side of a road. He was immediately drawn to it, found the owner, and purchased it.

He then arranged to have the cross brought to his home.

But, unfortunately, it was too big for his house.

So Rodin knocked out the walls, raised the roof, and rebuilt his home around the cross.

You already know where I’m going with this, don’t you?

Instead of trying to assimilate the Cross into our lives . . . why not center our lives around the Cross!

What would happen if we truly answered Jesus’ call to radical discipleship?

Would we finally knock down the walls and rebuild our lives around the Cross?

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.’ ”
(Matthew 16:24 NIV)

I love you!
