About Heaven . . .

The Greenland shark can live more than 500 years!
How?
Their slow metabolism, cold-water habitat, and
unique DNA enable this reality.

Though 500 is a realllllly looooong time . . .
Christians will someday live even longer.
Eternity is difficult to grasp.
Forever and forever and forever . . . without end.
But that’s our reality is we’re Jesus-followers!
Heaven will be a thrilling place to spend forever.

Something else to think about regarding eternity:
How much gold is there on Planet Earth?

Today, gold can be found in many parts of daily life, from jewelry and
collectibles to modern spacecraft and medical devices.
But just how much gold exists in the world?

According to the World Gold Council, the total amount of gold above
ground worldwide is about 238,391 tons. This represents nearly all of the
gold humanity has ever mined, most of which has been excavated in the
last century.

When combining all the mined gold with the estimated below-ground
deposits, the total amount of gold on Earth comes to approximately
444,391 tons.

Let’s make this easier to understand.
This is the equivalent of the weight of about 59,286 African elephants or
four Nimitz-class aircraft carriers.

That’s a lotta gold!

But there’s even more in heaven!
“And the main street was pure, transparent gold, like glass.”
(Revelation 21:21 LB)

The Bible tells us in various places that heaven is
Really big.
Really
Really
Really
BIG.

I don’t think we can even imagine the glory of heaven.

“ . . . no mere man has ever seen, heard, or even imagined what
wonderful things God has ready for those who love the Lord.”
(1 Corinthians 2:9 LB)

What do we have to look forward to in heaven?

Living forever in a perfect kingdom.
More gold than we can imagine.
Interacting with saints through the ages.
And most of all . . . being with our Savior.

Are you ready?

You are loved!
